PACIFIC OFFICE INTERIORS’ RESPONSE TO COVID-19
As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation continues to evolve, Pacific Office Interiors is monitoring the situation daily, with a primary focus on scaling to meet the changing needs of our customers, ensuring the safety of our team and mitigating risk. In alignment with these objectives, we have made rapid changes to how we approach our work.
We have pivoted all active employees to remote work and are engaging with “Essential Businesses” to support their critical needs. All customers requiring work be completed, during this time, are being asked to provide written documentation of their status as a qualifying essential business. We are happy to provide a template for this purpose should one be needed.
In the current environment there are many hurdles to overcome, in terms of the timely implementation of projects. While many manufacturers are closed or facing reduced staff, some have made allowances for projects that meet these requirements. Orders are largely being prioritized by the nature of the project, and secondarily by customer segment. Transportation, receiving, storage and installation of projects are also being impacted as the risk, to workers and businesses alike, remain uncertain.
This pandemic continues to prompt more questions than answers, and we are doing everything we can to stay abreast of the latest information and best practices. Transparency and communication are a cornerstone of our business practice. Following are key elements of our plan to adapt to the pandemic, maintain as much of a business as usual approach as possible, and protect our employees, customers, and colleagues.
Health & Safety
We have developed a risk assessment and evaluation process. In support of this process, we are closely monitoring and complying with the policies and recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), city, state, and national government. Our policies are consistently communicated to our teams and posted at all building entry points..
Remote-working protocols and customer service coverage plans have been defined and are in place for all of Pacific Office Interior’s employees to help minimize the impact to our customers.
Meetings/Customer & Showroom Visits
We are leveraging technology and video conferencing for meetings where possible. We are addressing all requested site visits on a case-by-case basis. First, to ensure our customers are aware of the risk and have sufficient safety protocols in place, and secondarily, to ensure we have sufficient resources to meet the required deliverable. In instances where site visits are warranted, we are asking these be conducted efficiently and all recommended safety protocols be followed.
Products & Services
We plan to continue providing the excellent products and services you’ve come to expect from us. We are regularly meeting with our key partners to discuss their capacity or restrictions and how those dynamics might impact supply chains, manufacturing, shipping, and installation. We are working closely with all clients to establish desired dates and contingency plans.
All non-essential travel has been cancelled. Essential travel will be addressed on a case-by-case basis. We are all in this together.
